First and foremost, before you have ANYONE perform any tuning modifications to your PCM, be sure to check their background. Make sure they actually have experience tuning. Ask for references; if they can not provide them, go elsewhere.

I have extensive tuning experience with both automatic and 6 speed GM's. I am familiar with shift point tuning AFTER you perform a gear change to eliminate bouncing off the rev limiter. Some people will just change your speedo scalers. This will cause you to hit the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift nearly all the time at full throttle and may also cause the problem on the 1-2 shift. Programming can be performed "in car" or you can send your PCM to me.
Many things can be changed. Here are just a few options:

Recalibrate Speedometer for new gears or different tire

Alter automatic transmission shift points and shift firmness

Alter torque converter lock and unlock points

Recalibrate for different size throttle body

Remove VATS for street rod applications

I have experience dyno tuning our cars on the dyno.
Here is a picture of a customer running his car on the dyno. His car was all stock internally but had all external "free" mods, headers, cut out, cold air. He dyno'd at 281 hp at the rear and over 330 for torque.

This customer had a little more done to his car. His car has a Comp Cams 305 cam, ported heads, headers, exhaust with cutout, cold air, "free" mods. This car made 328 RWHP and 342 torque.


Car running warmer than you like to see?
No problem! I can change your cooling fan on and off temperatures. Most Camaros and Trans Ams turn the cooling fans on at 228 degrees!! In a performance application, this is warmer than a lot of people like to see. I can change the on and off temperatures to wherever you want.
Are you one of the unfortunate ones that has a speed limiter?
Once again, not a problem. I can set your speed limiter wherever you want. Kid driving the car? We can set it at 70 mph. Shutting off at 118 mph and you want to go faster at the track? We can set it where you will never have to worry about it again.
